[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Ash is a computer genius. He built his own laptop and later on created his own demon alert system that ran on that laptop from the notes of John Winchester. He can drink enough PBR beer to kill enough braincells that would make anyone drunker then a skunk but he seems to be able to maintian all the smarts. He also maintains a very well kept mullet. He can also research just about anything given some time, by either legal or illegal means of a computer.
Ash is able to speak Ennochian and like stated he has skills with the computer that he taught himself and had some training at MIT. Ash also can ramble off any McGyver episode due to his love of the "mullet of power". Ash has an interest also in String Theory which is what he used to find a way in and out of all everyone elses heavens while he was up there.

POWERS AND VULNERABILITIES
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Ash was, and still, is a human being. He can die if he shot, stabbed or strangled. He swears frequently if threatened actually by the Harvelle women with bodily harm. Ellen particularly.
However, what Ash doesn't know is that his blood thanks to his little "spellwork" with a certian angelic weapon his blood has been giving the ablility to heal. He's unable to heal like angels can really and the larger the wound the more of his blood it takes (IE: A gash on the arm might need a simple drop, a gunshot blast would take more)

[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Highly regarded among hunters, Ash is known for his computer skills and the research that he does for the hunters. He is able to create computer programs that can track demons on a home made laptop for a certain set of brothers and he's well known around what was formerly known as the Roadhouse. At MIT he was some what known for starting a fight but other then that this computer genius is rather unknown in the 'regular' world.
PERSONALITY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Given the title as genius in Jo's journal, Ash wouldn't refute it if he knew she had called him that. In fact he refers to himself as one. In some ways Ash can be a childlike in his ways (ie: his mullet). He can also be rather egotistical by rambling off the long things he can do with a computer like creating a demon alert sytem with John Winchester's notes about a certian Yellow Eyed Demon. Has moments of sacarasm and is normally extremely dead panned. He's very territorial over anything involving his computer.

HISTORY

His father was a manager to a small sporting goods store that rarely made it into the black no matter how hard it tried. Ash's mother was part of a local motel's house cleaning staff by day and by night she cleaned office buildings. It was a hard way to get by but it helped them get by day to day as they struggled to keep their apartment. When he was old enough for school, Ash was recognized as gifted, being intelligent beyond his classmate after taking several standardized tests in the third grade, and was quickly placed in advanced classes for some of them. His home life though was still hard as his father's business went under and they were soon evicted from their apartment and Ash's mother was their only source of income.
While in school it was clear Ash's gifted brain was getting him in trouble. He would get done with his things quicker then his classmates and then he would go around pestering the rest of the class. Spit balls, talking out. Just anything really to draw attention to himself and prove he was different. By the time that “Dr. Badasss” was in high school his friends were the freaks ad his father didn't approve of them so he set about to prove his son was better them. He got Ash a job from some one who owed him a favor as a store clerk.
Ash hated it.
The job was mundane and he did the same thing every day. Ring things up and talked to people about the stupidest things. He didn't even understand his addiction to computers until he took apart a register at work because of a prank and he wanted to make the register give people fifty dollars if their change called for one dollar. It worked but he discovered that he enjoyed the tinkering with inside of the computer too much. He soon set out to get one of his own and learned what he could from it.
What he learned sent him to MIT, along with his own brain, on a full ride. He however stood out like a sore thumb and his party ways stood out. Drinking lead to fighting on occasion. Ash called it 'extreme arguments' but still the dean didn't agree and he was expelled for 'fighting'. After that his parents were extremely angry with him over what course of action since he had tossed away the chance to have a better life which is all ones parents really want for their children. Still, Ash decided not to move back to Oklahoma City but back to Walla Walla to live with his aunt instead of listening to how his life was generally screwed up and he would live as the 'mullet man at the restaurant asking do you want fries with that?'
Back in Walla Walla, Ash took a job at a computer repair shop and built his own computer with the parts he bought with his paycheck. His aunt didn't care as long as he paid rent and with in four months he had a working computer of his own to tinker with. He loaded an operating system and boom, Ash was ready to go to work on it. He still didn't give up working at the computer repair shop but he did learn coding and how to get into to different websites (which honestly wasn't that hard since the security wasn't that strong as it now) and discovered everything he could.
His aunt died in 2000, and things went down hill for Ash. For one his computer crashed. Like boat anchor crashed. Of course he had tinkered with it all this time. Like adding extra CD drives when they came out and floppy disc drives. But honestly he didn't expect to get a blue screen of death and not get it to respond. So he salvaged what he could and with what he could at work, built his own laptop. He lost his job though shortly after it was finished and when he decided that it was time to head back to his family, Ash reached Nebraska and one place that would soon become his home.
The Roadhouse.
It was ran by two women. Ellen and her daughter, Jo. Starting to work there, and getting as much PBR Beer as he could possibly want, Ash was happy. Ellen gave him a room and Dr. Badass set up shop. He soon began working with hunters when Jo commented that he was a genius. He didn't disagree to it and was rather unimpressed when a hunter asked him to investigate something supernatural for him involving a death omen. But then again Ash was also drunk as he looked into it and soon gave the hunter a stack of information. That was how he started his business with the hunters. He didn't think anything about it until he was rudely awoken by Ellen when he was asleep on a pool table to help out Sam and Dean Winchester.
Impressed by the notes that John had taken, though Ash knew no one could track a demon that way, Ash took the notes. After several hours, Ash used the research to create a demon alert system. He also was visibly unimpressed when Dean Winchester attempted to 'poke' at his creation. Dean Winchester also commented that he looked like a Lynyrd Skynard roadie to which Ash simply replied. “All business up front; party in the back.”
He went on working with different hunters until Sam walked in at probably the most inopportune time ever for him. Still he decided to get dressed and help the Winchester brothers because there was a PBR in it for him. He discovered where the logo for Sam's vision was. His date for the night might have been ruined but Ash still got some beer out of it. However Ellen discovered the file that he created for Sam which brought the Harvelle women into the Winchester's business.
Ash never really wanted to offend his 'mother' , Ellen. When the Harvelle women had a fight, Ash normally hid in his room and tried to not get involved. However that didn't stop Jo Harvelle from getting him involved yet again. When she wanted to go and hunt something in Chicago, Ash found himself creating a fake trail that took the younger Harvelle woman to Vegas while she ended up hunting with Sam and Dean. What even hurt him more was that Jo threatened him! With pliers! However it didn't stop Ellen from threatening him as well and his loyalty still lived with Ellen because well, she could really hurt him more then Jo and sooner. So he gave up her location. He hid himself some place else when they came back....and had removed all the pliers from the Roadhouse.
He kept his head down for a while until it all blew over but in truth it didn't. Jo ran off to hunt and Ash agreed to help Sam find special children who were 23 and their mom's died in a nursery fire. The whole list. He continued to work on it until he found something that he had to tell Dean about. Calling Dean, Ash told him that it was something he would only tell in person due to the importance of it. However someone, or something, burned down the Roadhouse before he had a chance to tell him.
Ash awoke in a perfectly fine Roadhouse. It didn't make sense to him really since he remembered the Roadhouse being engulfed in flame and Ash working hard to get some hunters out. However some did died too from smoke inhalation just like Ash did. He accepted the new version of the Roadhouse though until he discovered that it didn't have Ellen or Jo so that meant that both survived the fire. After several, well, days Ash became bored and begin to look for certain ways out and about. He found ways into the peoples heavens. He learned the language Ennochian and how to protect himself against the angels. But there were four people that he couldn't find. Ellen, Jo, Mary or John.
Things weren't right for Ash really with out the Harvelle women in his heaven so the Ennochian speaking Heaven snooping computer genius entered every heaven but couldn't find either one of them. Depressed he began to debate what he could to find them because he wanted to share his Roadhouse with them since the Roadhouse wasn't the Roadhouse without the two women he had grown to love. So he begin looking for a way to find a back door out of heaven. After all, there had be one. Heaven was basically like String theory in his eyes, each weaving in and out of each other but no one ever seeing it.

Ash didn't want to admit that it would require their help since he was basically trapped in heaven with out their assistance.
