TALENTS AND SPECIAL ABILITIES
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Charley has been trained from the time she was little how to become a hunter. Being the offspring of two hunters (no matter how good they were) she was bound to follow in their footsteps. She’s an expert marksman, trained to shoot pretty much any gun that she could get her hands on. Her weapon of choice however is her Desert Eagle that her father bought her on her 18th birthday. This girl is a hunter through and through. She has the speed, agility, quick thinking in tough situations, and that she’s a natural born fighter. While she might be extremely small in size that doesn’t mean that anyone can walk all over her.
Being a hunter she also knows her way around trying to bandage up different wounds. She’s seen her fair share of battle wounds against the supernatural. While she can only do enough to get them to the nearest hospital it can help in a pinch. Charley knows almost all the exorcism chants by heart and knows her way around a spell or two. Sometimes she’s trying her best to learn more about them, researching and studying spell books in hopes that they might help on her hunts.

POWERS AND VULNERABILITIES
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]The main strengths that she has would be her ability of knowing what happens with the Supernatural. This would be the one thing that keeps her alive on her hunts with more than just blind faith. She’s a fighter through and through, always wanting to fight to protect the ones she loved. In her eyes she never needed to go to college or anything, it was just passing time until she could hunt fulltime.
He biggest vulnerability that she has would be family. Being a Harvelle she has plenty of family to contend with and they’ve always been what you might call close They are and always will be her weakness. No one messes with her family and get away from it. Now she also has her husband, Rory, whom she loves more than anything. No one understood how she could love and marry him so fast but they’ve been together four years and she will always do anything she could to protect the man she loves. Charley is hardly special, she’s human through and through so she’s as vulnerable as one to absolutely everything.

REPUTATION
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]Her reputation mostly precedes her. Charley is still a slow up and comer in the hunting world but having the former Harvelle name has opened a few doors for her. Now however with her husband in tow they are better left on the down low, not having to face all the expectations with her maiden name and just able to live their life how they want to.
PERSONALITY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]This girl has all the fine qualities that you might want in a friend. Charley’s fiercely loyal to those that are lucky enough to gain her trust. You have to prove yourself to her for her to really be your friend and when you do she’ll have your back even until death. If there is one thing she’s learned it’s that you should never give up on those that you care about and to protect them at all costs. Her husband is her one good thing in her life, he’s the only one that can keep her grounded. She has the habit of being honest with people, almost bluntly so and she doesn’t really care about hurting your feelings. To her people shouldn’t be so sensitive. Some of her friends have called her loud with an attitude-Charley prefers to think of it that she just has her mother's sassy mouth. Like mother like daughter after all, well...beside the whole her being with a girl. Not that she has anything wrong with that but she loves Rory very much. Most of the time she’s caring, wanting to help the people around her. This is what she has always been like growing up.
There are times that she gets in a depression; a funk that hardly anyone can pull her out of. With it she becomes cold, bitter, reserved and closed off from the world. Charley will lock herself up in a closet where she tries to deal with her issues. No one is ever allowed to see her cry and she pretty much closes everyone off from her emotions besides Rory. When she commits to something she is going to see it through, never one to break her word. That was something she learned from her parents, something she honors for them. Her impulsive nature has gotten her into plenty of sticky situations. Most would call it carelessness but she just doesn’t have the patience to deal with things half the time. She’s a fierce fighter and has a temper to match. What’s not to love about her? Try her out if you dare.

HISTORY
[attr="class","fbidossiertxtboxy"]There’s not much that can be said about the history of Charlotte Harvelle. She had as normal a childhood as anyone would with two parents that were hunters. Charley would stay with her mom as her dad went off to do what he did best. None of this seemed out of the ordinary for the young girl as she continued to grow up around her loving family and extended family. Far too many times Charley would be taken over to play with her cousin Jo, the two becoming inseparable at times as it gave their mothers a small chance at freedom from their daughters for a bit. Charley learned most of what she knows from her dear cousin, helping to shape her into the girl she is today.
Charley still remembered the day when her parents split up. They had been fighting behind closed doors for so long and it seemed her dad was off on more hunts for long periods of time. At that time she was doing all she could to learn more about the supernatural and hunting. Charlotte wanted to be just like her father, she was a daddy’s girl through and through. He had been training her little bits at the time, teaching her to shoot and a few self defense moves. It was obvious she was a natural born hunter like him. When the time the divorce was finalized it was up to her which parent she wanted to live with. It didn’t take long for her to decide she wanted to be with Rick a lot more than her mother. It didn’t mean she didn’t love her as much but she wanted to see what would come of her training with her father. Her parents shared custody of her, sharing her back and forth between the two.
It was interesting for her living in two different lifestyles. Charley enjoyed her training with her father and it helped prove to her that she really knew that hunting was what she wanted to do. Rick wanted to teach his daughter everything and was more than happy to oblige. The time she was with her mother was interesting though. To learn that her mother left her father to be with another woman was something that shocked her for a while. Leslie was nice though, almost like a second mother to her and so it was just something she got used to. This girl was loved, was there much else to really complain about.
Her sporadic involvement in school due to hunts put a bit of a damper on her schooling. Charley was more focused on her training and hunting than whether she could handle fractions or know what certain chemicals do. She wasn’t a very good student, whichever school they would go to with her dad she always seemed to find someone to piss off. She didn’t care; she wasn’t there to make friends. A few of the kids she would call friends, hanging out with them when they were lacking in cases in the area. She would never consider her upbringing being traditional but that never brought her down in any way, shape, or form. Instead she thought this made her a better person than most. Only hunters kids’ would understand this way of understanding.
Before long she graduated from high school, a feat that most never thought she would ever succeed in. It was a joyous occasion as she took one step out of one phase of her life and jumps into another one. It was at this moment in her life that she turned to hunting fulltime. Alongside her father she knew that she was going to be unstoppable. In her eyes with Rick at her side she could keep learning and do everything with him to help. He would test her on her latin, constantly testing her out and trying to study her on every possible outcome in different situations. He was always thorough with how he wanted to make sure she would survive in this lifestyle.
It was shortly after her graduation that the unthinkable happened. They were on a hunt of what seemed like a normal sacrificial cult group when it turned out to be a nasty group of witches. Neither hunters knew what they were in store for. Charley remembered him sending her a few towns over to talk to a few hunters nearby. When she got back to the hotel that they were staying in for this case she knew something was wrong. As she walked into the dark room she was attacked, her consciousness leaving her as soon as her body hit the ground. She had a hard time staying conscious after that, only able to focus on a few things before she would black out again. It wasn’t until it was too late that she noticed they had killed her father and was planning on doing it to her. The chanting of the spells around them sent Charley into a panic. She’d never met a witch before and this group was an exceptionally bad group of them. The hunters she’d met up with earlier in the day burst through the door just as she fell unconscious once more. When she awoke again she was in the hospital, her mother at her side as she had to tell her that her father was dead. The anguish and heartache she felt was something she’d never felt before. She knew that death was part of their job but she never thought her father would be murdered so senselessly in a hunt. He was a superhero in her eyes, and he always would be.
Hunting without her father as a partner was incredibly hard on Charlotte. For a good few months she would continue to be reckless in her hunts, not giving a damn what she would do. It was just saving people and moving onto the next job. Day in and day out. She poured through every supernatural and witchcraft book she could find so that what happened with her father wouldn’t happen again. No one was going to get her off guard like that again. She felt that it was her fault her dad was dead, if she had been more prepared he would still be alive. During one of these moments she headed to the Roadhouse, probably the only thing that finally kicked her out of her funk. Jo and Ellen made her realize she was being stupid about all of this, that it wasn’t her fault and she needed to move on. Only family would talk to her this way and finally make her understand. She was pulled back into the light and was ready to take a fresh new start at hunting with more of an understanding of herself and what she’d been through. She is probably too stubborn to admit it but her family saved her life in that moment, and for that she’s incredibly grateful.
It was March 28, 2008 when her world was forever changed. Charley was on a hunt, a monster preying on the innocent people in a small town. With all her gear ready she ran up to save a guy that the monster was attacking, not wanting another person to be the thing’s next meal. With his help they killed the monster, not an easy task in the least but someone had to do it. She instinctively wanted to makes sure the guy was okay, especially after almost being monster chow. The two talked and she learned that his name was Rory Dekker and that there was something else about him that just seemed to draw her in. She knew she needed to leave, needed to get going but he seemed to keep her rooted in her spot. For the first time she wanted to do something other than hunting, and he talked her into sticking around for a few days with him. And let me tell you, those days were magical. He was everything she’d always looked for and after four days she realized she had fallen in love with him. In a spur of the moment deal they went to the courthouse and legally married.
Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would be married, let alone to a guy she knew four days. But she loved her husband, and when Rory came with her to hunt and wanted to learn she knew he was a keeper. He was amazing with the research while she would do the brunt work with the killings. They were a perfect match in every way and she knew she couldn’t live without him. For four years this is how they’ve lived, always off hunting but atleast they were together. Charley believes that no matter what happens she can get through it with him by her side. So what does life have in store for her? Guess you'll have to wait and see.
